Shelby Spaulding, MFT Student Intern
Shelby holds a Bachelor of Science in Child and Family Services, where she graduated with the Valedictorian Award and was recognized as a University Scholar for her research in Family Studies. She is currently pursuing her Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy at Texas Wesleyan University. Shelby’s approach to therapy is rooted in Narrative Therapy and Solution-Focused Therapy, helping clients reshape their self-perceptions, build resilience, and navigate life’s challenges with confidence. She is passionate about working with young adult women experiencing stress, anxiety, self-doubt, and perfectionism. By exploring the impact of societal pressures and personal narratives, Shelby helps clients develop self-compassion, challenge limiting beliefs, and create meaningful change. Shelby believes therapy should be a collaborative and empowering process where clients feel heard, supported, and capable of growth. She loves reading, coffee, and baking and spends her free time with her small dog, Tulip, or exploring new coffee shops in Fort Worth. Shelby offers low-fee sessions for individuals and couples at $50 and is excited to support clients on their journey toward healing and self-discovery.
